VIEWMASTER - MODEL D FOCUSING VIEWER

Description

Functionally, this is a great user-viewer with smooth controls for setting focus and advancing reels.  Its corrosion-free interior results in a non-flickering light source.  Cosmetically, it's a different story.  The front half of the viewer, the batteries compartment, has a missing chip/chunk at a top corner, near the reel insert slot.  The rest of the Bakelite front shell is covered in cracks that have been glued/epoxied (see last 3 photos) to create a sturdy hand-held instrument. There are no problems with the viewer's back half, viewing side, unless you count the missing logo and the light haze in the lenses.
Great user --- ugly collectible.  A low opening bid is in place.
