Very large, PARTICULARLY STRIKING original, WWI patriotic poster. SCANS SHOW ALL. This is a great patriotic poster intended to get you thinking about doing more for your country and the war effort. THIS ONE IS PARTICULARLY NICE & UNUSUAL AS IT SHOWS UNCLE SAM AND HE IS ASKING THE PUBLIC TO CONTINUE TO FINANCIALLY SUPPORT THE WAR. The war is over, but our debts from it remain. "I always pay my debts.....please help me by buying more liberty bonds".
Very patriotic and captures THE COOPERATIVE "work together" spirit of the war effort.  Posters were primarily printed as a reminder, to reinforce the basic themes AND IN THIS CASE THE HELP THEY COULD PROVIDE. Generally they were pasted on walls, or  put in windows
. Often the ones we see now were "proofs" prepared by the printer before the run was started. Or, kept as souvenirs by whoever put them up. The ones that were used obviously took a lot of abuse and wear and did not survive. This one was obviously kept as souvenir, accounting for its survival in such nice condition.
THIS ONE IS IN VERY GOODD CONDITION AND MAKES A GREAT DISPLAY ITEM. ESPECIALLY WITH THE LARGE CLASSIC PORTRAIT OF UNCLE SAM. Such posters, with this type of artwork and picture are extremely rare and highly collectable and sought after. THIS WILL LITERALLY GO ANYWHERE, WITH ANYTHING, AND CAN BE THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR COLLECTION.
Large size, measuring about 22" x 28 1/2". In very nice condition overall for the age. Paper is clean with only a few minor repaired rips along one side. Also, the
paper is crisp and not worn. C
