    Description

This listing is for the Rare Original WW1 Poster pictured above.
The poster was designed by Adolph Treidler (1886-1981) and printed by the Stobridge Litho Company. I was able to locate only a few other examples of this poster online, primarily in institutional collections.
The poster depicts a portrait of Woodrow Wilson with the following text:
“The President says : hunger does not breed reform; it breeds madness and all the ugly distemper that makes an ordered life impossible--the future belongs to those who prove themselves the true friends of mankind
America’s food pledge: 20 million tons
    Save food
    Don't waste it
    United States Food Administration"
The poster measures about 29.5 inches tall by 19 inches wide. It will be shipped flat.
Condition: the poster is wrapped in partially sealed plastic and against a cardboard back to keep it flat. There are pin holes around edges as pictured and creasing to the corners. Overall it is in good condition for its age. Please refer to all of the photos above.
