    This kit is an exact scale model of this famous school ship of the Italian Navy.
    Amerigo Vespucci is a 3-mast fully rigged sailing ship that takes its name from the famous Italian sailor and cartographer who also lent his name to the new world.
    She was planned by the lieutenant colonel Francesco Rotundi, following the trends of war sailing vessels. She was launched in 1931 at the Navy's ship yards of Castellammare di Stabia, Naples,
    and carried out many voyages before World War II. The period during WWII was the only time the ship has not been active.
    The elegant, three-masted full rigger now serves as the training vessel of the Italian Naval Academy.
    This construction kit is complete and contains precut frames, double planking, dowels, cast and turned brass fittings, wooden details, rope, etc. The structural wood panels are laser cut. There are three boxes of brass pieces as well as a brass panel of cutout pieces. This is a substantial kit that weighs over 15 pounds in the box.
    The building plan is printed on fifteen large sheets in full detail. The printing is high-quality printing and most of the assembly sheets are heavy weight coated paper.

    The box is in Very Good condition with some shelf wear and a few defects in the finish.
