    HUGE 14” CHEROKEE CHIEF’S DAUGHTER DESIGN RIVERCANE STORAGE BASKET, EARLY 20TH C
    This early North Carolina 20th C Cherokee rivercane storage  basket has a complicated Chief’s Daughter pattern that is seldom seen.   On the neck is an intricate Chain design.  These are made with deep, dark and rich walnut and bloodroot vegetal dyes on collected, hand-cut rivercane.  A monumental museum quality basket.
