    Description

Here we have a wonderfully detailed wooden model ship kit by Constructo: the "La Flore"
The Flore was built in Brest in 1756 and completed in the Havre in 1757. She participated in the Battle of Quiberon Bay in 1759, known in France as "Bataille des Cardinaux". In 1761 she was captured by HMS Unicorn English, becoming part of the Royal Navy under the name of HMS Flora. She was sunk by the British in August 1778, when he left Rhode Island, to avoid capture. In 1784, under the name American Flore, she participated in the campaigns of Senegal. On September 7, 1798, she was captured by HMS Phaeton and sold as scrap.
This kit features prefabricated metal and wood components, rigging, cloth sails, flags, wooden stand, and is presented in a luxury box for easy access and sorting during construction. This premium kit includes numerous fittings in brass and/or plastic for a museum quality finish.
At Ages of Sail, our model ship kits are always of the highest quality available, with laser-cut parts and ornamentation made from the finest materials for an authentic look. This brand new kit comes with detailed English instructions, though La Flore is best for intermediate to advanced builders!
