    Alaska Coiled Basket Athabaskan-Imbricated Geometric Design w/Seal Skin
    This polychrome lidded basket likely from the Northwest Coast of Alaska is in EX condition. It features a cross and diamond design incorporated with strips of seal skin.
    It is Aleut or possibly Sitka. It stands approx. 5 1/4 inches high with the lid attached, is about 5 inches wide at it widest point and has a base of 3 1/2 inches.
    I believe it is circa 1930s-40s.
